About this deal

But despite not being able to compete with a true loadcell brake. The T3PA-Pro conical brake is almost, almost there. It adds a new dimension in terms of braking quality compared to other Thrustmaster solutions. And it should be your go to setup for a Thrustmaster pedal set. On a straight level road, I'm using AUTO because that's the fastest gear, and it won't downshift on me then. On almost any other terrain, I use the appropriate manual gear. Read my comment again I never said I would only use high on straight roads I said mostly straight as I would not use high in a place where there was continuous 90 degree turns for example as i could not maintain the speed.

The great thing about the DriveHub is its huge compatibility with all sim racing products. It includes all main wheel bases, pedals, shifters and handbrakes from Fanatec, Thrustmaster and Logitech. This means you can create almost any combination of sim racing products, creating your ultimate sim rig for console. You can adjust where you place this rubber mod to give the brake pedal a few different sensations. You can place it towards the base of the pedal if you prefer a long brake pedal. This will give you a slight increase in resistance as you near the end of the brake travel. The pedals that come with the T500Rs look very similar to these, but feature a spring brake mod. It certainly isn’t to the same quality as the conical brake supplied with these pedals. We tested this in all four configurations, and preferred the longer brake travel, with a medium increase to resistance. For us, this felt the most natural, as the short brake travel just felt too unrealistic. Leather-wrapped wheel with 25 action buttons, 1 push-button and 4 rotary selectors natively recognized in GT Sport (differential braking, traction control, fuel mapping, torque management)You may think on first impression that these look identical to the already existing T500RS pedals. And, well they are certainly very similar. But that is for good reason. The T500RS pedals feature the best product design of any Thrustmaster pedal set to date. Both pedal sets allow you to adjust the spacing between pedals. And they do this by allowing you to remove the pedal pad and mount it in three different positions. This is nice, although we would rather have been able to move each whole pedal individually like the Fanatec CSL Elite pedals. As we stated in the previous section, both of these pedal sets have been around for a considerable amount of time and it’s probably best to say that they’re both overperformers – but the increased quality and customizability of the Pro model does translate to better performance. These pedals are fully compatible with all modern Thrustmaster wheel bases, and represent a considerable upgrade for all sets that don’t already come with the T3PA. Whereas the input mechanism of some other manufacturers’ pedals are onboard, Thrustmaster leaves the heavy lifting to the wheel base – so there’s no need to fret over input resolution here.

Internal components from the European automotive industry (AEC-Q), for maximum quality and lifespan The B25K60 has a 6mm diameter shaft that is about 13mm in length (~19mm total including threads). Shaft has a ground flat portion, these type of shaft are called D shafts or flat shaft. Shaft length is not that crucial, a shorter will work as well. Most 6mm diameter shaft will have the same mounting nut (10mm). Then there is the connection, through pins or solder lugs will work. As I just mentioned, you can also adjust the angle of each pedal, which is a lovely touch. By rotating the mounting support behind each pedal you can add an increased incline to each pedal. Thrustmaster have been making the right steps towards the ultimate pedal set for a while. The base pedals you get with some Thrustmaster wheels come with only two pedals and are just not fit for sim racing. We would highly recommend paying the extra cost to add these T3PA pedals to your Thrustmaster racing wheel bundle. We’ve spent a lot of time testing the T3PA pedals to be able to bring you our in depth review, and show you why you should upgrade to this pedal set. They also look like they should last a long time - my only slight concern is over the cable exit from the base of the unit - this could probably have done with a build in cable strain reducer, but it is easy to do something yourself. If you are really looking for a way of combining both Fanatec and Thrustmaster products together on a console, you will require some form of adaptor. As we mentioned above, both Xbox and PS5 only support 1 input device, meaning you can’t connect your peripherals seperately like you can on PC.

So Thrustmaster have used this great product design, and fixed the one downside that the T500RS had. The brake pedal. If I wanted to fit a variable resistor into the circuit to adjust the 'gain' of the pedal (i.e. adjust how much force would produce 100% braking in game) where would I put it in the wiring? What value would you recommend? 0 - 1 KOhm?, 0 - 10 Ohm? etc... The most important consideration when using any pedals – in games or in real life – is functionality, and both of these sets are built to function well for a long time. The improved design of the Pro model can’t be denied, but the standard set is nothing to scoff at in this regard. So we have covered how to use Fanatec pedals with a Thrustmaster wheel. But what if you fancy doing things the other way around. What if you want to use Thrustmaster pedals with a Fanatec wheel. The load cell which is directly integrated into the brake pedal produces one of the most realistic braking simulations you can get from a racing sim pedal. You can apply realistic brake pressure just like in a real car, with the pressure depending on how hard you press the pedal.

What are the Thrustmaster T3PA pedals?

Not only do these pedals include that illusive clutch pedal. But the brake mod is possibly the most impactful part of these pedals. By installing the brake mod, you completely transform how these pedals feel, and really increase the overall immersion. This pedal set really should be your starting point when buying a Thrustmaster racing wheel. And you should ideally stay away from the standard two pedal set. The T3PA pedals are an improvement in every way.
