About this deal

I liked that the device came with a case for the blades and attachments, which felt safer than putting sharp blades in a drawer. It’s simple, lacking some of the functionality of the more expensive competitors, but that’s part of its appeal. This chopper had extremely easy and fast cleanup since it's small, has very few moving parts, and has nowhere for food to get trapped. The machine comes with a 9-cup bowl with a feed chute lid and pusher, quad chopping blade (as opposed to most chopping blades, which have only two knife edges), dough blade, reversible slicing and shredding disc, and 20-recipe guide. The patisserie set is tucked in one side (featuring a stirring whisk with silicone edge; height-adjustable beating whisk; and kneading hook with gear protector) and four food processor discs for slicing, grating and shredding in the other.

It sliced onions and celery evenly in the midi bowl (with none of it landing in the main bowl), turning a 10-minute chopping tasks into 30 seconds of processing. During testing, the food processor's dough blade mixed pizza dough to a good elastic consistency, while the quad blade easily emulsified thick, viscous mayonnaise and minced meat.We barely noticed this new gadget in our kitchen – apart from the fact that it was an indispensable sous chef. For chopping, slicing, kneading or grating, it will turn into your go-to, and isn’t so big that it takes up too much space on the counter. Another particularly good value, we found this food processor to be extremely user-friendly and self-explanatory.

One of the most versatile pieces of kit in the kitchen, a food processor acts as your very own sous chef – chopping, mixing, and blending a whole host of ingredients – saving you time and energy. We were impressed with the adjustable slicing disc, it’s useful to have so many options for thickness of slices in just one disc. This means they’re ideal for bread, all kinds of cake from chocolate cakes to fairy cakes, as well as thicker mixes, like carrot cake and gluten-free cake recipes. Bosch’s MUM5XW10 kitchen machine is a unique stand mixer and food processor hybrid that backs its versatility with easy-to-use integrated scales so ingredients can be weighed directly into the bowl.Find everything from counter-top appliances such as the best stand mixers and best air fryers, through to smaller essential kit like the best mini choppers and the best spice grinders. The whisk tool and folding tool are especially clever in design – both slot onto the spindle in the centre of the bowl and work with the lid in place – meaning that the contents are whipped or mixed without any worktop mess.

She specialises in product reviews, having reviews hundreds of small and large appliances and homeware. litre capacity bowl and a modest 600 watts of power, so it's not best for those demanding tasks like kneading dough. The smaller devices like the Kenwood MultiPro Go or the Salter option tested tend to be incredibly simple, while larger devices with more functions take a little getting used to.litre and mini 700ml – plus matching chopping blades and two reversible slicing/grating discs, are all dishwasher safe. The slide speed control is smooth and the top hinge opens effortlessly with the press of a button to lift the beater out of the bowl.

Set aside a rainy afternoon for a bulk baking session and this will be your trusty sidekick, powering its way through pastry, bread and batters. You’ll need a larger bowl capacity and perhaps a more powerful mechanism that will plough through larger volumes of mixture.Notably though, the Breville rocked around a little when kneading dough and when mixing at higher speeds. Don’t be mistaken, we love hand mixers and have tried and tested many fantastic models over the years, but stand mixers offer something different: power. Dough kneading, meanwhile, should always be done on a low food processor setting so it’s stretched rather than spun around the bowl. This model did a fantastic job on all of our beating, kneading and whisking tests and produced consistently high quality results. While pretty much every food processor has a chopping blade and can slice or grate using a disc, some models may have extra features, like a dough blade, an accompanying recipe app, or various color options.
