About this deal

Simply spray onto the attached microfibre and wipe until you achieve full gloss. That is how easy it is to apply Q² CanCoat EVO! Now in its EVO form to provide you with a more durable yet easy to apply SiO2 based coating. Q² CanCoat EVO offers more durable performance, improved visual enhancement and hydrophobic properties - all thanks to the updated EVO formula. It remains as easy to apply as it used to, now featuring even easier wipe off. CanCoat applied in not the most ideal scenarios can serve as an exceptionally strong sealant. But applied properly like a coating it can act like a hybrid coating (9 months chemical resistance) or in two layers pass as an actual coating.

Unlike yourself and applying with the towel which is easy enough, I just get better coverage with a microfiber applicator. It does not take any longer than using it with a towel. I also get less streaking with the microfiber applicator than I do with the towel. In anyone's opinion did I not apply this right ? Should I have used Gyeon prep instead of bilt hamber paint cleanser ? First off prep work. As with any product its best to apply to a washed, deconed, clayed and polished surface. For polish you can use whatever you like. You can use the Gyeon primer but be aware it needs to cure for 12-24h before you apply Cancoat which is a waste of time in my world. If you want to use a primer product then use Carpro essence (3h cure time) or better yet TAC system primer (1h cure), but really any paint cleanser or abrassive polish will do just fine. If you are in not so ideal circumstances or have not applied a coating, this is a good product to try. You should apply Gyeon Q² CanCoat EVO in a dry place out of direct sunlight. In all cases, prepare the surfaces you are going to treat in the normal way (wash > decontaminate > polish), and then do a wipe down with Gyeon Q²M Prep to ensure that they are spotlessly clean. For best results, spray Gyeon Q² CanCoat on to either the supplied microfibre towel or a PB Super Buffing Towel and immediately wipe it over a single panel to spread a thin, even film of product. Then refold the towel and continue buffing to fully remove the film and reveal an intense streak-free shine. Alternatively, mist a Meguiar's Even Coat Microfiber Applicator Pad with Gyeon Q² CanCoat EVO and wipe a thin, even film of product over a single panel at a time before buffing off with either the supplied microfibre towel or a PB Super Buffing Towel. Either way, you should aim to complete all of the buffing off within 1-2 minutes, i.e. before the coating begins to harden.

GYEON - Q² CanCoat EVO (200ml) Reviews

In situations where it's not practical or possible to leave the car for 24 hours before applying the coating (which is certainly the case when working outside), then a Prep wipe down becomes strictly necessary (otherwise the coating won't bond properly to still curing SiO2 components). And, as you guessed, this does reduce the benefits of using Primer in the first place (personally I would only ever choose to use Primer when working indoors). Thus, in your case it might be better to use Polish instead, and simply go Polish > Prep > CanCoat (assuming the paint needs minor refinement before the coating is applied - if not then just go with Prep > CanCoat). Gyeonhave rapidly grown to be amongst the leading manufacturer of detailing products available in the UK, offering a range of premium quality products thoroughly tested to satisfy the needs of car detailing enthusiasts, as well as the exacting requirements of professionals.Gyeon offer a comprehensive series of advanced quartz-based products offering outstanding surface protection. The Gyeon Q² range includes high-tech ceramic coatings for both enthusiasts and professional detailers, making this all in,a uncompromised range of detailing and car care products. Of course you can use Bathe+ in place of a topper in the above cycle, however it's not going to give you the look, durability or performance of a dedicated product like Cure. Outdoor Friendly. Meaning it can be applied outside but not in direct sun and avoid wet wet weather for the first 24 hours as it will affect the cure time (ie dew, rain). This will be a big hit for those that don't have access to a garage as it applies to all of the Gyeon coatings. One thing mentioned in the included maintenance book, is to apply Gyeon Cure as a precaution if planning to leave it outside. If you are pressed for time, but do not want to sacrifice protection, grab yourself a can of the Gyeon CanCoat Evo today!

Highlights from their range for us include Can Coat possibly the easiest to use ceramic coating on the market, perfect for all paint & wheels. Gyeon Wet Coat, that revolutionised the spray on wet market, making paintwork protection ridiculously easy. Gyeon Tire is also amongst our favourite tyre dressings, SiO2 based it lasts the longest and gives a deep wet gloss. Really there aren't any products in the entire Gyeon range we wouldn't hesitate to recommend. You should apply Gyeon Q² CanCoat in a dry place out of direct sunlight. Alternatively, mist a Meguiar's Even Coat Microfiber Applicator Pad with Gyeon Q² CanCoat and wipe a thin, even film of product over a single panel at a time before buffing off with either the supplied microfibre towel or a PB Super Buffing Towel. Either way, you should aim to complete all of the buffing off within 1-2 minutes, i.e. before the coating begins to harden. However, I have discovered a more effective way of applying the product which improves the performance and durability. Here’s how: Method 2 GYEON do not clarify the circumstances in which it should be used, looking at the above 'each time you wash' would suggest that it is a shampoo for regular use. If you do use it regularly, you can guarantee the car isn't being fully de-contaminated making that contamination harder to remove without polishing (not possible without removing the coating too). Ensure your exterior surfaces are clean, dry and free from contamination; so wash thoroughly and dry. Clay your car if required prior and we strongly suggest you wipe over with GYEON Prep to remove all traces of old wax, residue, polish or oils.

CanCoat has always been one of may favorite products. I would go on a limb and often state it was the best coating in the Gyeon line even if was not a full fledged coating. It had a claim of up to 6 months but it consistently exceeded in durability and longevity for me ranging from15-18 months. It is also one of the most versatile coatings as it can be applied to any surface (glass, paint, trim, wheels) as a standalone but also as a maintenance topper after a year or so. It also has some of the best hydrophobic behavior that I have seen and it leaves that glossy appearance. I have heard of some individuals using CanCoat as a drying aid, with even less durability being the tradeoff. Although I have not personally pushed this product to those limits yet, it is a testament to the versatility of this product. However, after a drive in the wet a couple of days later, the rear of the car was just as dirty as ever and although there was beading, a lot of those beads later dried to leave horrible, dirty, water spots. Leaving the car out in the rain a few days later and the beads were still there but again they later dried to dirty water spots. Members and I of the detailing community cringe when we hear of any spray on product that has the name ‘ceramic’, ‘coat’, or ‘SI02 in it’. We have seen these (maintenance spray) products sold and detailing services with the application of these products offered with the blatantly misleading implication the consumer is getting comparable protection to a true ceramic coating.
