Het ligt al een maand bij mij op de plank, nadat ik het heb opgehaald bij Boekhandel Roojboek in Venray op voorwaarde dat ik er een leuke review over zou schrijven. Maar het kwam er maar niet van het boek te lezen. Er kwam altijd weer wat tussen. Maar nu werd het toch wel eens tijd om mijn belofte na te komen en dit boek van een eerlijke review te voorzien. This book is a sensational book and I highly recommend anyone who is a fan of adventure and excitement should read this book.Chris Riddell’s amazing illustrations fuel the imagination, leaving us longing to know what happens next. The plot has a good dose of adventure and magic, friendships and sibling relationships, whilst also dealing with loss, sacrifice and death (with a few gruesome bits but it made the story more substantial). There were some real morals to the story without being too heavy for young readers. Irgendwie hatte sie etwas an sich, was mich gestört hat, mit ihr bin ich leider bis zum Schluss nicht komplett warmgeworden. Questo secondo volume si presenta, a parere mio, anche migliore del primo e molto meno introduttivo, perdendosi principalmente nella narrazione delle vicende dei personaggi.

Secondly, I really like a good old portal fantasy where the kids are swept up in the adventure and journey to a whole new land. It’s a troupe which has been done many times, but it’s fun and easy and I like the adventure. The stars in the Big Dipper are also part of the constellation Ursa Major.
