About this deal

I want to emphasize, as I said earlier, if you´re not up for horrifying murder methods, don´t read this book. If you are, then you´re as crazy as I am or will be after finishing the book I love Garcia's relationship with his wife Anna and this time after the last books she was more involved and present in the story and to be honest I would like that kind of relationship for Hunter too since the author after five books made me care enough for him that I want some happiness and stability for him also.

But this discovery does more than just link the two killings—it suggests that this is the work of a serial murderer. When he and his partner are called to the scene of a brutal murder, where the victim has been hung up with a giant fish hook, Hunter begins to wonder if he has reached the edge of the depravity people could inflict on others. With a piece of poetry left at the scene, Hunter and others within the LAPD begin to ponder if this message has a deeper meaning. The mysterious caller however doesn't want Hunter to just watch, but rather participate in an act where refusing is not an option. I like my psycho-thrillers to have an atmosphere of tension, excitement, fear and if there is terror then I simply love it. The author did try to create a similar atmosphere from the very beginning but I felt that somehow he was unable to maintain it.So, story wise, this is really, really good. I have formed a strong attachment of Robert Hunter and his partner in Homicide Special Section Carlos Garcia. Combined with how it makes me ponder about the era of Internet and social media, it easily makes this latest installment another favorite. Within days a new body surfaces. Like the previous victim, she's also been stitched shut and something has been left inside her. Something as ingenious as it is grotesque. And the killer isn't done yet, not by a long shot. The identity of the killer is a bit surprising ... but at the same time, makes me a bit confused Especially for Andrew's murder, when Olivia posed as mechanic ... was she really that strong that she could broke Andrew's jaw? And didn't these man ever saw her before, considering that Olivia was the daughter of Derek, the first victim, who once was their friend -- even if they never keep in touch, but Derek must be in the news once or twice, right? He is a DA for years. Why didn't they surprised/knew her before?. Maybe I miss some hints. But it's still good :) Blutige Stufen“ ist extrem brutal und weiß Gott nichts für schwache Nerven. Absolut empfehlenswert! best of ξανά στα μέσα.

I also liked the character of Whitney Myers and the factors that led her to become what she later became. I don't want to include any spoilers in case you ever give it a try. When the forensic team reaches the spot for doing further investigation, they find that the letter ‘3’ was carved in blood on the chest of the victim. Robert Hunter initially believes that the killing was ritualistic. But when more and more dead bodies begin to surface after being murdered in a similar manner, he is forced to think otherwise.

A serial killer is at work. Not just any serial killer, but one that puts the power and choices in the hands of the public. Broadcasting live on the internet, this serial killer asks the general public to vote on which more horrific manner of death they want a total stranger to undergo. And vote they do. Human beings voting to see a horrific death. For me personally, this overstepped the mark. It was just too gruesome especially given the motive. This is the work of a psychopath and someone devoid of human emotion, remorse, or empathy, not the work of a vengeful person no matter what drove them to seek retribution.Robertas supranta, jog tokį disciplinuotą bei kelis žingsnius į priekį apsvarstantį serijinį žudiką sučiupti lengva nebus. Tačiau jis neturi kito pasirinkimo.. The only difference was that Hunter got to know a woman and possibly will have a more stable relationship for some time and even though I wanted that for him I can't say I liked her or that I felt who they started to fall in love with each other. It made me feel nothing the three times they interacted during the story and at some I was like "oh great another murder so their meeting will be cut short!" I got more feelings while Hunter comforted a relative of the victim than when he met the woman he is going to have a relationship with.

Commander Barbara Blake is brought in to help with the case when they dig further into the identity of the girls they find that all of them are artists of some sort, another body is found but the calling card has changed then Commander Blake disappears this time Hunter will stop at nothing until he finds her what happens from here on is a cat & mouse game between the perp & Hunter. But, it was quite unbelievable because the Crucifix Killer was arrested and executed around a couple of years go. The police as well as Robert Hunter begins to think whether someone else is trying to copy the killing styles of the Crucifix Killer or he is still away from the reach of them. Coerced into making a disturbing choice, Hunter sits through and watches as an unidentified victim is tortured and murdered live on live stream. This was an absolutely dark, gritty, gory and twisted (when it comes to the MO of the killer, the motivation isn't really twisted - like I said sometimes the killer is relatable) book. Definitely not for the faint-hearted. As always, there are several red herrings given, to throw readers off from the real killer and the real reason of the murders. However, I find it very interesting, that the victims were not as 'innocent' as they seemed to be. The victims were all 'noble' and 'good' people in the public's eyes. One was a former DA, one was a former LAPD Detective, and the other one was a psychologist. The reason on why they were killed lies in their past ... and I couldn't help to think that they deserved their current fate.
