About this deal

At bottom left is a fully exposed audio section using the high-end Realtek ALC4082 audio codec. It has a few red WIMA capacitors dedicated to audio and an ESS Sabre9218 DAC. This is one of the better audio sections on paper, and most users will be satisfied with its sound quality. I could wish for some EMI shielding, but again, this is a cost-cutting rather than cost-no-object platform. Hyper NVMe RAID add-in card with four NVMe drives can only be supported in PCIe x16 slot 1, as shown below. This will run in x8 Gen5 mode The OC Tweaker section holds the keys to tweaking your system. Here you can adjust voltages, RAM, and the CPU, and save profiles for recall later. if HDD, buy 7200 rpm and not 5400 rpm. 7200 disks are faster. WD Gold 12TB get you speeds up to 255 MB/s for large video files and renders. 12TB capacity is better than 10TB HDD - 12TB disk uses less power and it's more quiet due to HelioSeal tech. In addition, Rembrandt APUs are VESA certified for DP 2.1 ports are 40 Gbps. It's up to vendors to expose those capabilities, and many have been sluggish.

A new era is upon us, an era that involves a re-envisioned focus on performance and efficiency leadership in the CPU landscape. There are two companies that are battling hard to hold the throne of this segment but given the incremental (and sometimes revolutionary) changes that each chipmaker is bringing to the field in a span of a few quarters, there's no decisive victor. In return, the consumers keep on reaping the benefits of this heated battle between red and blue which is the most intense it's ever been. The Killer Ethernet controller is designed specially for competitive gamers and performance-hungry users, this motherboard comes with both Killer E3100 2.5G Ethernet & WiFi 6E solution, the enhanced detection and prioritization engine provides the ultimate networking experience for gaming and multimedia applications. A lot of video workflows and renderings suggest you might want to consider a board with wide bandwidth video outputs and fast data connectivity ports, to move a lot of data around, and fast, right? If so, I'd suggest motherboards with USB4/Thunderbolt 4 ports at 40 Gbps for speedy transfer and HDMI 2.1 FRL ports for up to 32 Gbps video signal to better monitors. So this year, AMD has decided to launch a second architecture overhaul, and oh boy! It's a big one. Enter AM5 & Zen 4, a brand new architecture with a prime focus on efficiency and multi-threading performance, and comes with a brand new platform that is outfitted with next-generation features such as DDR5 and PCIe 5.0. The AMD Ryzen 7000 "Zen 4" lineup will include the top-to-bottom Ryzen 9, Ryzen 7, and Ryzen 5 CPUs. USB4 graphics output may not be compatible with certain Type-C monitors. Please use graphics card outputs instead. Sep 27th 2022 Intel 13th Gen Core "Raptor Lake" Desktop Processors Launched: +15% ST, +41% MT Uplift (224)

The onboard sound is not good. I get bad distortions in sound as if something is interfering with the sound circuits or controller. If you must have a board with Thunderbolt 4 or dual 10G LAN or an SSD add-in card, the makers will be all too happy to sell them to you, as they do now. But as a consumer, why can't I have the option to buy a high end motherboard with an entry level bundle? secondly, if you do not specifically need 7950X for those workloads, don't overpay and buy 7900X. Only buy 7950X if time is a critical factor and if you run those workloads everyday for several hours. In this case, 7950X will do the job faster, if workloads are CPU bound. If GPU bound, 7900X is enough. Memory support goes up to DDR5-6600+ (OC), which is just above average for the platform. Much past the sweet spot (around DDR5-6000 or so), you're spending more green for negligible performance gains, anyway. The motherboard holds up to 128GB of RAM.AMD naming scheme is annoying. They have the motherboards on nearly same generation as Intel, with only the second digit differing. I always have trouble remembering when reading the titles/first paragraph whether what I am looking at is an Intel board or AMD. Intel boards are B660 vs this B650. I guess it is cheaper to copy marketing of competitor than come up with your own and Intel is the king of coming up with 100s of SKU off a single design... Maximizing revenue

I have nothing against Asus board per se, but for proposed workflows I suggested two boards that seem the best fit. I explained why and I will not ping-pong anymore about one or two features. I firmly stand by my choice of boards for this member and it's up to him to decide. Simple. You can try to convince him to buy Asus. But, please, do not try to convince me that Asus board us "better".

Audio, Expansion, Storage, and Rear I/O

firstly, there is nothing wrong with going high-end CPU and B650 board. I have 5900X, 6800XT and B550 ProArt. Works great together! The Powerful algorithms to ensure the best noise-free conversation, giving a constant vocal level no matter the distance from your mic. The Nahimic audio engine dynamically clear the sound and remove interference noise and lower the voice variation. Result is a better comprehension and less fatigue.
