It’s a little harder to use on the fly than the spring-loaded style, but it lets me really dial in where I want the back of the chair. This chair does have advanced modulation of the position of the seat pan when you tilt the back, which makes reclining a little less comfortable. The material feels quite thick and high quality so I’ve never worried about accidentally piercing or damaging the exterior. Definitely designed for bigger people, it’s perfect for providing firm support, lots of room to get comfortable and a 160-degree recline. This is a professional seat that you wouldn't be embarrassed to use in an office or the family home. However, the gas lift is a little weak, meaning you need to take your entire weight off the seat before it will rise. Something I didn't appreciate about the AndaSeat Dark Demon was the fact that it seemed like a magnet for all sorts of rubbish on its seat - the seams are fairly wide and fill up with crumbs, dust, and detritus much too easily as a result.Ideally, you want to be able to tilt the seat’s bottom as well as the back, and hold it at a certain position.
The Dark Demon has plenty of features that appeal at first glance, like a steel frame, 4D armrests and 160-degree tilt. That will really come down to personal preference though, some will definitely appreciate having it. Truth be told, that did get a bit annoying at times, especially when it comes to typing at the computer. Moving on to the 4D armrests, they have plenty of adjustment options including side to side, forwards and backwards, up and down and you can horizontally pan them as well.
Contouring your body with the racing car style, the AndaSeat Dark Demon was overall pleasant to use, although to make it even more comfortable, it’d have been nice to have a bit more cushioning in the seat.
