About this deal

It's described as 'a show with live actors', using animated scenes, electronic special effects and live actors. Written by Bram Stoker, the novel Dracula was published in 1897 and tells the story about a vampire attempting to move to England. The place has certainly changed over the years, and yes it may seem a bit dated, but the owners have changed the scenes, all very, very terrifying over the years. Having just read this book, Dracula's Whitby, I have found it fascinating and written in such a way that it is both interesting and very informative. Scarborough also used to be a spa resort and was popular with the aristocracy as a place to ‘take the waters’.

I think it's about having appropriate expectations for a seaside attraction that doesn't have the funding of a huge entertainment business behind it. he seemed more intimidated by me when I stared back at him after he turned his head and tried to scare me. You can take a walk down to the harbour below or take in the incredible views of the coast from clifftops. Henry VIII destroyed Whitby Abbey in the dissolution of the monasteries in the 16th century, and this is what we see today. Bram Stoker’s love for Whitby and the surrounding area is evident when you read the words of his novel’s characters, such as Mina.In the summer they put on hilarious Dracula performances around the ruins, so you can join in the fun! Ian also includes in the book a chapter on Whitby’s other ghosts and legends, quite appropriately as they all add to the mystery and atmosphere in the town.

Bram Stoker’s Dracula arrives on the shores of Whitby aboard a shipwrecked boat, all the sailors are found dead including the captain who has been tied to the helm. The original story was written as an epistolary novel – that is the tale is told as if compiled from letters, diary entries, newspaper cuttings, transcripts of phonograph recordings (the phonograph cylinder was a comparatively new invention at the time – the equivalent of today’s Blu-Ray disc), and ship’s log entries. You will also be able to enjoy new improved facilities, making sure you get the most out of your visit. Any goods, services, or technology from DNR and LNR with the exception of qualifying informational materials, and agricultural commodities such as food for humans, seeds for food crops, or fertilizers. For the character of Dracula, Stoker retained Irving’s aristocratic bearing and histrionic acting style, but he redrafted the play as a novel told in the form of letters, diaries, newspaper cuttings and entries in the ship’s log of the Demeter. When you make your way to the top of the 199 steps before you reach Whitby Abbey, you’ll be walking through St. DRACULA is such an iconic figure that he has inspired hundreds of films and television programmes for over a century.
