Every once in a while, a story comes along that is so amazing and cool and unique, I recommend it to everyone. Exact wording, however, can be used to work around this - the lawyers of the Exactitude haven end up making a business out of writing wishes for the leaders of other havens. Eight seconds after magical genies grant every person on earth one wish, the world is transformed forever and that’s just the beginning! But they can still act as a Literal Genie if a wish is ill-thought out and will not care about the consequences unless they're "boring" or would deny others their wish. Two of the main characters from the bar end up with super-powers, one Ironman-style thanks to a powerful suit of armour, and one straight up superpowered.

We gotta remember that we're not alone in the world - no man is an island - and that on the whole, none of us is likely to stand out too much in any way. Humans Are Flawed: Will eventually realizes that this is why the genies keep reappearing, because humans are never satisfied. I thought the first issue was fairly juvenile, but I'll probably check the remaining issues out when I have more Hoopla credits. But thanks to a quick-witted barkeep, we've got a safe island and get to learn about a bunch of people stuck in the eye of the storm, relate to their troubles, hope they'll get through it fine, and in general bind the hilariously insane premise to human terms that we can understand. His right arm is covered with metal like Colossus, he's got a shoulder pad akin to a '90s Anti-Hero, and Utility Belt like Batman.

Even without talent attachments, the deal is significant for the streamer as it involves not only feature films but series and more. A Form You Are Comfortable With: Genies appear as tiny floating toddlers with etherial, wispy bodies.

Much as I enjoyed the first half of the series, this is where I got doubly engrossed in how the politics and influence played out. Similarly, Ed realizes that he's been a bad father to Robbie and uses his wish to bring back June, Robbie's mother, so they can be a whole family again. That said, this book is a fantastic ‘what-if’ story, a great light afternoon read, and a fantastic example of how to do a short and fun self-contained story well. Achilles' Heel: Floyd Faughn's wish was that people would believe in him, allowing him to compel almost anyone to do as he wished and leading to him becoming one of the most powerful individuals in the post-genie world.
