About this deal

It pulls around 10 Amps on start up, for 3 or 4 minutes, then about 2 Amps on high, quickly dropping to around 1 Amp when it is up to temperature and "ticking over" to maintain that temperature. Environmentally product, low emissions, low fuel consumption; heater exhaust emissions to meet euro IV engine emissions requirements. Vent Options – If fitting the heater underneath the van there are a few vent options available in terms of where the hot air blows out. You can start up the bunk heater or adjust the temperature 64℉-104℉/18℃-40℃ by remote control or LCD panel. So the floor cut would be the circular size of the round turret, which would protrude through the floor, rather than several smaller holes.

Keep constant temperature: the intelligent overheating sensor can prevent the heater from running dry.

This gives a really neat positioning with ducting normally going back into the living area behind the seat. The Eberspacher also has a recirculation mode without heating which is nice on hot summer afternoons south of the English Channel! I am really pleased with how fast it gets the temperature back up in the van and caravan after turn on. One thing I would always recommend around any fuel burning appliances is a carbon monoxide alarm just to be on the safe side. The other alternative is a small turret which provides more protection and angles off the airflow direction but does potentially get more in the way.

The 2KW PLANAR 2D is the most compact heater model in the production line, it is intended for use in Campervans, motorhomes, crew cabins and work spaces, commercial vans and trucks, as well as boats that are up to 28 feet long. The units above this section are the correct type of unit for van installs as the exhaust manifold goes through your van floor underneath your vehicle and is sealed up so no fumes can get in, for more info on this please check out our fitting guide at the bottom of the post. The advantages are that no heat is lost in ducting and that the holes to the exterior of the van are only the smaller ones for the exhaust and air inlet for the burner itself. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third party advertisers. Our bunk heater comes with a complete mounting package, including essential parts, pipes, and tools. But due to the water heater being in an awkward position this was not possible with the chassis rails.
