About this deal

I know I'm just ranting about this book but tell you what, no matter how screwed up the writing is (again, for me), this is one of my favorites because of the plot and characters itself. Writing wise, I'm giving it a 2 since I was able to bear it! This is actually the first time I didn't like the writing but love the story itself. That's possible right? As if my life wasn't bad enough, I now have my own personal stalker. I don't care what he looks like. I want him to go away. Among one of the most iconic of the film is Kat sitting on a cozy living room chair reading, what else, Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar. Branded as the cliché reading of “faux-depressed” women a.k.a. teen girls, the bold decision to parade this reading material regardless is a testament to how much Kat means it when she says she doesn’t care what people think. All stemming from an incident that occurred during her freshman year of high school that we’re not made aware of until the third act of the movie.

I Know" (contains an interpretation of " Shout", written by O'Kelly Isley, Ronald Isley, and Rudolph Isley and originally performed by The Isley Brothers) Maher, Kevin (October 14, 2006). "Heath Ledger - The Accidental Hero". Times Sunday Magazine. Archived from the original on June 15, 2011 . Retrieved October 28, 2006. Larry Miller as Walter Stratford, an obstetrician and single parent who is overprotective of his daughtersThe movie, 10 Things I Hate About You is absolutely my favorite movie or well, one of my favorites. I love the story, the characters and the plot itself. It's just so sweet and cute. In short, I totally love it despite the inconsistencies of some scenes. The book was written after the film, and unfortunately this is on you can tell...The chapters are all very very small so even though you are getting perspectives of each character it is not really enough to get a full feel for the characters, if you haven't seen the film. If you have seen it then you already have the knowledge of the characters and what's going to happen, so I think its nice as a good reference material or for a big fan, but this wouldn't be something I could recommend to someone who hasn't seen it as it doesn't do the film justice. Ebert, Roger (March 31, 1999). "10 Things I Hate About You". Chicago Sun-Times. Archived from the original on June 20, 2008 . Retrieved August 10, 2009. Accidental Misnaming: In the space of a few lines when Bianca first speaks to Cameron, she gets his name wrong twice, calling him Curtis and Calvin. He corrects her the first time, but not the second.

No matter who they are, no matter how desperate they've become, not a single XY will consider even considering a date with Kat Stratford. Cool Teacher: Mr. Morgan seems perpetually annoyed with his class, but he has a lot of passion and is very upfront with his students. Most notably, he turned one of Shakepeare's sonnets into a rap, inspiring Kat. "I know Shakespeare is a dead white guy, but he knows his shit."

Jerk with a Heart of Gold: True, he may want what he feels is best for Kat and Bianca, but he does it by essentially not wanting them to grow up and have their own lives and doing what they want, coming across as an overprotective jerk in the process. He still loves them, though, and despite not wanting Kat to attend Sarah Lawrence, at the end he does allow her to do so, and is impressed when he learns Bianca beat the hell out of Joey.
