About this deal

Nightwing was a pretty popular character in the late ’90s, getting his own comic book series and making appearances in animated series and movies. I hope DC Comics will reprint Nightwing: Year One again, but for now, I’ll just be reading it on DCUniverseInfinite. En este caso, conoceremos el contexto detrás de la transición de Dick Grayson entre Robin y Nightwing, con detalles acerca de su discusión con Batman, el ingreso de un nuevo Robin y el cambio en la burocracia de la familia del murcielago. So, for instance, while you can wedge this story between the pages of New Teen Titans, it very barely lines up with Batman.

Year One begins with the expanded (and perhaps previously untold, I'm not sure) of Robin screwing up on a routine case and Batman firing him as a result. They have created a dynamic style that has great movement, which is perfect for a character who was with the circus. with artist Tom Lyle in August 1987 and Valkyrie with artist Paul Gulacy in October 1987, he began work on Carl Potts' Alien Legion series for Marvel's Epic Comics imprint, under editor Archie Goodwin. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Nightwing: Year One is a storyline written by Chuck Dixon and Scott Beatty, with art by Scott McDaniel.

Nightwing: Year One is a solid and entertaining origin story revealing Robin's tale of independence and self-discovery. This graphic novel is also a great way to introduce newcomers to the character since, in pop culture, Dick Grayson is still Robin for many people, despite the fact that there are at least four different people that have been Robin in the comics.

Unsure of what to do and where to turn, he seeks solace from familiar sources-including Superman, Batgirl, and Deadman. They're worthy continuations of the Batman story from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's excellent Long Halloween and Dark Victory. The heart of the issue though is the eternal Dick Grayson/Barbara Gordon on-again/off-again romance which is off here because Dick is with Starfire, but which Dixon has always written to perfection. The story also boasts the first appearance of Killer Croc, which had always been a mystery to me until I picked this up. In the evolution of his reaction to Jason Todd he feels stung, not because of being replaced by a new Robin, but because of what that may signify. So if you enjoyed the Titans show’s story of how Dick became Nightwing, I would recommend this story as a fine complement to further your appreciation of the character’s transformation. Unable to avoid fighting crime, Grayson begins a new odyssey, donning a new uniform and gaining a new heroic identity. However, Nightwing brings an attitude, style, and level of action to the comics that is very entertaining. There are, of course, nice moments--we get more scenes of the mainly undefined Dick Grayson/Barbara Gordon relationship, as well as a new "first appearance" of Killer Croc--an origin reconned out of mainstream continuity when Jason Todd lost his first, circus-based origin after Crisis on Infinite Earths. This is the first story for me where Dick has been the main focus of the story and I really enjoyed it, I definitely like him as a character and it was good to get a crash course of his world which is what this good kind of does.
